About Sadhana

  • SADHANA EDUCATION AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY (R) is a Non-Government voluntary organisation established by a group of likeminded people and Registered under society’s act of 1960 in the year 1998-99 at the Office of the Registrar of the Societies, Tumkur, Tumkur District.

Objective

  • The objective of the organisation is to empower the vulnerable sections of the society through awareness, training and capacity building and linking them with development agencies and government schemes. SAADHANA is working in the fields of drinking water and sanitation, community health, rural livelihoods, Skill training activities, education, environment, SHG loan linkage program, women empowerment and management of natural resources.

Involved In

  • The organisation is involved in implementation of various rural development activities such as promotion of community based organisation, capacity building for CBOs, providing entrepreneur- ship awareness, promotion of finance services, empowerment of women through capacity building and awareness programmes, health awareness program for school children, environment awareness and agriculture development, safe drinking water and sanitation under the support of Government of India, Government of Karnataka and others.

Facilitate to establish a harmonious society which is self-reliant, help the society to undertake their choice of activities and support the spirit of co-operation in Rural India.

Leadership development with gender equity, improve quality of life and good human values through effective use of local resources, extension of appropriate technologies and capabilities with community participation.

Our Vision
 

To improve the standard of living of (Rural and Urban) needy people, through create additional livelihood opportunities at their door steps and to promote and popularize sustainable practice for conservation, protection and optimum utilization of Natural resources.

Our Goal
 

To aware about the safe and pure Drinking water and sanitation, hygiene, Solid waste management, in both urban and rural areas.

Educate and awaken Rural mass on Health issues and also improve the Health status of mother and child in rural and urban slum areas.

To educate and awaken rural community about Environment related issues and motivating people to take active participation in the development and protection of environment.
